I'm Peter Duerst (he/him), a software engineer and theater maker in the Boston area.

Current and Upcoming Work

Since April 2024, I've been working as a Software Test Engineer II at Medtronic, working on their Surgical Robotics team.
I'm working as the Assistant Director on Theatre@First's next show: None Escape by Robin Abrahams, an adaptation of The Island of Doctor Moreau by H.G. Wells. Sign up to audition here!

About Me

I graduated from MIT in 2018 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering and Theater Arts. After graduation, I spent 5 years working in consumer robotics: first at iRobot, then at 10Beauty. Since April 2024, I've been working as a Software Test Engineer II at Medtronic, working on their Surgical Robotics team.

I love to build things, from robots to theater sets. I also enjoy playing Dungeons & Dragons, acting in community theater, and trying new vegetarian/vegan recipes.
